We are seeking a Senior Benefits Officer to assist in managing the Benefits team to provide an efficient, high quality service to customers whilst ensuring all benefit assessment work is undertaken accurately and in compliance with policy and regulations.
This includes all aspects of assessment and verification of claims for Housing Benefit, Local Council Tax Support and Free School Meals. It will involve higher level case work, appeals, tribunal, problem solving and supporting colleagues.
The successful candidate must have previous benefit assessment experience and have a level 4 qualification or be willing to undertake a level 4 qualification. You will need to be adaptable, approachable and helpful and have a good level of IT competency.
