Band 5 £24,790 (per annum, pro rata) £12.85 per hour

We are looking to appoint Assistant Cooks in various schools across Hartlepool, to support the Cook in ensuring that all aspects of the service are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards.

School Catering service.

 

The School Meals service is committed to providing high standards of customer service to our clients and are looking for applicants who are committed to projecting this professional approach when carrying out their daily duties.

 

Main duties will include:

 

·        The Preparation and serving of food to Primary and secondary school pupils ensure an excellent customer service experience.

·        Working with the Cook on planning and ordering of food to meet the requirements of the menu.

   

Knowledge of the “Safer food better Business book” is essential.

 

In the absence of the cook the appointee will be responsible for the Organisation & Supervision of staff ensuring standards are met in relation to the requirement of Food Related Legislation and the Health & Safety at Work Act.

 

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to ensure standards meet the requirement of all food related legislation and the Health & Safety at Work Act regulations.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal records check via the Disclosure & Barring Service.
