We have an exciting opportunity for a housing professional to join the Housing section of the Strategic Asset Management Team as a Senior Housing Officer, to provide an effective and responsive housing management service and deliver positive outcomes for ourcustomers.
We are looking for an experienced, qualified and motivated individual with proven experience of supporting customers – enabling them to sustain their tenancy. We are looking for someone who is approachable, compassionate and has a genuine enthusiasm to work with our customers, putting tenants at the heart of our service delivery and supporting the Council to deliver on the significant changes occurring in the social rented sector.
You will need to be self-motivated and have the organisational skills to prioritise a demanding workload in a busy environment whilst maintaining high standards in service delivery across all aspects of the role.
In this varied role you will be involved in tenancy management from allocating and letting our homes, tenancy sustainment, safeguarding and will need to work proactively when supporting vulnerable tenants to minimise tenancy failures. As a senior officer, you will also be required to provide guidance and support to junior members of the team, contribute towards performance monitoring, policy development and complaints handling.
The role involves managing a demanding and complex caseload whilst providing a high quality customer focused service to our tenants, delivering tailored interventions and providing support that is understanding of the needs and reflects the varied circumstances of our customers.
