Hartlepool Borough Council are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Countryside Access Officer to effectively manage its Public Rights of Way network, ensuring it remains accessible and well maintained for all users.
The successful candidate will have experience of providing technical advice in respect of countryside access issues, and crucially in advising on the impact of relevant planning applications. The ability to advise on appropriate planning conditions to help maintain and develop the PRoW network, while also securing suitable developer contributions, is a key part of the role.
You will also have knowledge and experience of relevant legislation, and an understanding of grant applications to support capital works.
Good communication skills, the ability to work independently and an understanding of budget management will all be advantageous to the successful candidate.
