Hartlepool is a vibrant and energetic town with growing prospects. As an authority, we want to make Hartlepool the best it possibly can be and want dedicated, driven and committed staff to help us achieve that.

Are you passionate about making a difference? This is a really exciting time for Hartlepool substance misuse services. We have recently re-structured our Young Person’s service and have been able to expand our team with this exciting new role.

If you are successful you will support the leadership team in both developing and delivering a service in the hope we can improve the lives of young people in Hartlepool.

The work will be delivered in a wide range of settings from schools, youth clubs and other community venues to reach as many people in need.

You will also be responsible for building effective working relationships with professionals and key organisations across Hartlepool who come into contact with our young people, as well as upskilling the wider workforce through the delivery of training to make every contact count.

You will be part of a hardworking, enthusiastic and supportive team. We are committed to providing high quality services and offer an excellent working environment valuing supervision, training and opportunities for professional development.

Applicants should have experience of working with vulnerable individuals with multiple needs and possess GCSE Maths or English grade C and above or equivalent qualification and Diploma/BTEC/NVQ3 or equivalent qualification in substance misuse, psychology, counselling, social work, health and social care or youth work.
