We are excited to offer the position of Residential Registered Manager of Exmoor Grove, which is a Residential Home and Short Break Unit for children with disabilities. Children who live or come to Exmoor Grove have various disabilities including learning disabilities, autism, ADHD and behaviours that may challenge.
Exmoor Grove is judged as ‘Outstanding’ in its most recent Ofsted inspection in February 2025.
As the manager of Exmoor Grove you will have line management responsibility for a team of residential social care officers and you will be supported by 2 deputy managers.
We are looking to recruit an inspirational person who has strong leadership skills, is an experienced, enthusiastic and committed manager to lead a team that delivers excellent care to children and young people in line with our responsibilities as corporate parents and who is qualified to be a Registered Manager for a children’s home.
You must have
· Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent
· Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent, or have significant experience in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role and commit to attaining the Level 5 Diploma within 3 years of commencing in post
You will have excellent leadership, communication skills and experience managing teams and you will demonstrate your proven track record of success in this field.
The post holder will possess a passion in working with children and support them to develop skills, enabling them to build a positive future. In addition you will be expected to display a strong team spirit, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to work with parents, carers, across internal departments and with external agencies.
