The North Wales Adoption Service (NWAS) is looking for 4
Therapeutic Family Support Workers to join our dedicated team of staff. The post holders will based in one of the
following areas Gwynedd/Anglesey, Conwy/Denbighshire and Wrexham/Flintshire.
These are newly created roles and will be required to:
Form and maintain positive and effective working
relationships with adopted children and their families
Work in partnership with members of the NWAS Team and
other professionals and contribute to the assessment, planning and review of
support to adopted children and their families
To use interventions aimed at a child’s presenting stage
of development
Deliver 1 to 1 therapeutic packages of support for
adopted children and their families
To work from your own initiative, in line with all risk
assessments, and care plans to progress the therapeutic goals of individual
children
Promote strong positive relationships, safe parenting and
healthy lifestyles
Develop your professional skills as part of on-going
development
