The All Age Disability Team have an exciting opportunity for 2 Social Workers to join an innovative and progressive team.
The successful candidates will contribute to the team’s multi-agency approach to providing a seamless health, social care and well-being service for individuals with disabilities of all ages and their families. The Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act (2014), Children’s Act 1989 and Mental Capacity Act 2005 provide legislative frameworks to ensure the team comply with statutory duties and that individuals are supported to achieve positive outcomes at all stages of their lives.
You will work with individuals so that they are enabled to identify their own personal outcomes, and how they can achieve those outcomes. Your work will focus on the individual and their support networks including families to promote independence, ensure the individual has a stronger voice in decision making and has more control in their lives.
The All Age Disability team can offer the opportunity to work within a specific specialised area with the prospect of further developing skills and experience to work across all areas of the team.
The team would also like to attract motivated Social Workers at any level of experience to work with children; adults or within both areas. To be the right person for this role, you will have excellent communication skills, proven experience of working as part of a team, previous experience of working with children and / or vulnerable adults and the ability to respond appropriately to the needs of disabled children and adults whilst working within statutory guidelines, policies and standards.
In order to be considered for this post you must be a registered Social Worker.
