Location – Based at Children’s Social Care Lambpit Steet
37 hours per week
G09 – G10
Wrexham County Borough Council is looking to appoint a full time,
highly motivated social worker to join the Leaving Care Team. This is a
permanent post and you will be one of 5 social workers, working alongside 5
personal advisors, a support worker and report to the Assistant Team Manager
and Team Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity for any applicant wishing to work with
Care Experienced young people aged 16-25. We want Wrexham to be the place where
Care Experienced young people have the opportunity to progress positive
pathways to independence and gain maximum life chance benefits from educational
opportunities, health and social care.
The team have a duty to ensure that each Care Experienced young person
is in accommodation which meets their needs, reflects their right to safety and
security and encourages them to reach their potential at every stage of their
development and which will safeguard and promote their welfare. This includes
supporting all Care Experienced young people to meet their full educational
potential and to promote their physical and mental health and emotional wellbeing.
To meet these objectives we want someone who can ensure services are of
a high quality and exceed national standards. You will need to work across
services, the council and partners to maintain excellent practice and working
relationships.
You will need to be experienced in working with Care Experienced young
people and bring innovative ideas that will continue to improve the support
young people receive from the service.

for this position.
