G11 Salary £38,553 – £41,591 per annum
Full Time Permanent 37 hour post
Do you have strong management and leadership skills with excellent communication and team working skills, a good understanding and knowledge of Child centred service delivery planning, and proven experience of working with vulnerable Children? If so, we would like to hear from you.
We have a new small Childrens home opening in Wrexham and are looking for an experienced Manager who is passionate about delivering high quality Child centred care and support to manage this.
The role will involve the setting up, registration with CIW and being the Registered Manager of a specialist home supporting Children with Disabilities. The post holder will be responsible for the day to day operational management and development of the service, promoting positive outcomes for individuals.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in managing change, delivering continuous service improvement, and positive culture development, as well as a sound understanding of the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016, and the relevant Statutory Guidance, the Childrens Act 1989, and the Social Services and Well-being Act (Wales) 2014 legislation.
The post holder will need to be qualified and registered as the nominated ‘Registered Manager’ with Social Care Wales and maintain the registration on a mandatory basis as a Registered Manager Children’s Residential Service.
You
will need to have:

Level 5
Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care Services Wales (or
equivalent) or Diploma in Health &
Social Care Level 3 /4 (or equivalent) and commitment to achieve Level 5 within
a set timescale following appointment.

The
ability to provide a customised, responsive, progressive and high quality
service for vulnerable Children.
- ·
You
will need to demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, with
experience and a passion for mentoring and coaching staff, in order to ensure
the development of an effective team with highly skilled and motivated staff.
- ·
The
ability to work on your own initiative and to work under pressure.
- · Experience of dealing with challenging situations with the ability to develop solutions which are in the best interest of individuals.

We will also be developing a 2nd new residential setting for Looked after Children so there will be further exciting opportunities to join the Childrens Residential Service in the future.
