Wales Adoption Service (NWAS) is seeking a Service Lead who is a highly motivated individual that is
passionate about Adoption and can support the service to develop and grow. NWAS
is a regional Adoption Service that covers six
local authorities, Wrexham, Flintshire, Denbighshire, Conwy, Gwynedd and Ynys
Mon. Wrexham is the host Authority and the successful candidate will work
directly for Wrexham but will be expected to travel throughout the region to
support the collaboration. The North Wales Adopting Service has had huge
investment over the past few years with the development of Post Adoption
Support team and life journey work. The team is responsible for:

Completion
of Prospective Adopter Reports
·
Linking
and Matching of Children with Approved adoptive parents,
·
Family
finding for children referred for adoption
·
Partner
of Parent adoptions.
·
Access
to birth records, Birth parent counselling, Intermediary service
·
Contact
Service for adopted children/birth families
·
Adoption
Support Service including Life Journey work, Adoption support services advisory
social worker
· Training Department
As
the service lead you will be responsible for working in collaboration with the
National Adoption Service as well as delivering on the action plan for NWAS.

This role supports hybrid working, a

An Enhanced DBS check & Social Care Wales registration is required for this position.
