fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the busy and expanding ICT
Infrastructure team at Wrexham County Borough Council as a Technical Analyst
for Unified Communications.
Based in the ICT Infrastructure team, reporting to the ICT Infrastructure Manager, the post will play a key role in supporting the Council’s voice and unified communications technologies. Your work will be varied covering the implementation and support of new and existing enterprise level hardware and software for Wrexham Council, its employees, business partners, service stakeholders and members of the public.
The successful candidate should have good up to date knowledge and experience of the following skills and technologies:
· Strong skills and experience with voice technologies, voice system administration and voice provisioning. Experience with Avaya PBX systems is essential.
· Experience of managing systems integrated into voice systems e.g. Interactive Voice Recognition (IVR) Systems, Call Reporting, Softphone, Voicemail, Call Recording, Contact Centre etc.
· Experience of migrating legacy telephony lines (e.g. ISDN/PSTN)
· Have the knowledge and skills to lead the Council in integrating voice solutions into Video conferencing and Instant messaging solutions (e.g. Zoom, Teams)
· Knowledge of SIP and experience of troubleshooting SIP.
· Any skills with integrating or moving to a hosted telephony/unified communications platform would be advantageous

You should have a good experience in voice solutions and be able to demonstrate a systematic & analytical approach to problem solving. With the ability to prioritise workloads and to take ownership of tasks and projects assigned to you. You will also need to have excellent communication skills and enjoy being part of a successful team.
