G08 £32,076 - £34,834 per annum

The Environment & Technical Department are seeking to recruit a self-motivated and organised individual to work as part of the Crematorium & Cemeteries Team, to assist in the day-to-day delivery of compassionate and efficient bereavement services.

The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of cremation, burial and associated services, whilst ensuring compliance with the relevant legislation and regulations. Primarily based at Pentrebychan Crematorium, the post holder will also be required to work at both Wrexham and Plas Acton cemeteries. The role will involve both office based and outdoor working.

To be considered for the role you will have significant previous experience of working with members of the public in a busy office environment, ideally in a role requiring tact, empathy and confidentiality.  Applicants should be able to demonstrate excellent IT/ administrative, organisational, written and interpersonal skills. The ability to communicate in a sensitive, compassionate and confident manner with customers is a key function of the role, and the ability to communicate in Welsh will be considered desirable although is not essential.

Whilst experience of working in the field of bereavement services would be beneficial, full training will be provided.
