Senior Finance Officer

Grade 08 £32,076 - £ 34,834 per Annum

A vacancy has arisen within the Corporate Taxation and Debt Section of the Finance Department, for a suitable qualified Senior Finance Officer.

The Section is based in the Lambpit Street offices and deals with the administration and collection of income due to the authority including council tax, non-domestic rates and sundry debt.

We are seeking to appoint a person who is able to supervise a team responsible for

             Dealing with customer enquiries

             Maintain accurate administrative records

             Assist in the collection of income due to the authority

             Progress cases through appropriate recovery stages.

The suitable candidate will be expected to deal with and complex matters as required, and provide technical support to the Corporate Taxation & Debt Lead

Although the role will encompass all service areas over time, the primary focus for the successful applicant will be the billing and collection of council tax.
