Flying Start is a Welsh Government initiative which offers a
real opportunity to make a difference to children under 4 and their families
living within certain areas of Wrexham, who are most in need of support.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Child and Family
Worker experienced in early years to work in the Flying Start childcare
provision at the Ty Ni Family Centre but may work across both settings where
required. The post will involve working with children with additional needs who
require support so that they can access the group provision. The successful
post holder will join a friendly and enthusiastic team dedicated and committed
to providing a stimulating environment for two to three year olds.
You will have a QCF Level 3 qualification or other relevant
qualification.
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring
Service check.
We operate an interview guarantee scheme for suitably
qualified candidates with disabilities committed to Equal Opportunities.
Wrexham Council welcomes applications from suitably
qualified candidates regardless of race, gender, disability, sexuality, religious
belief or age.
The Council is committed to developing its bilingual
workforce and welcomes applications from candidates who demonstrate their
capability to work in both English and Welsh. Applications submitted in Welsh
will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.
