Manager - Community Wellbeing Team
G11 £43,421 - £46,464 per annum
37 hours per

Applicants are
invited to apply for a permanent Assistant Team Managers Post with the Wrexham
Community Wellbeing Team. The Assistant Team Manager is responsible for
assisting the Team Manager in work allocation, deployment of resources,
ensuring and developing the professional standards and performance of the team,
plus delegated responsibilities in the Team Managers absence. The Assistant Team
Managers role will combine direct practice with a defined complex caseload,
with management of the duty system and a wider remit for offering professional
advice and support to colleagues.
It is expected
that the successful candidate will have proven knowledge of the Social Care and
Wellbeing (Wales) Act (2014), including the Mental Health Act (1983), Mental
Capacity Act (2005). It is essential that the candidate has a DIPSW and/or
recognised equivalent, plus a current Social Care Wales registration. The
candidate will have gained their Social Work progression status, a Practice
Educator award and have a background in Adults and Mental Health services.
We are looking
for someone with excellent communication skills, proven experience of working
as part of a team, who has a commitment to ensuring services are of a high
standard, who is supportive, compassionate and leads by example.
The Team
provides a range of social interventions for people experiencing mental
wellbeing issues, from preventative to complex needs, in collaboration with
families, health, the third sector and our Local Authority departments. The
Team consists of experienced social workers with AMHP status, Social workers,
Social care assessors and Business support.
