The Governors of Ysgol Llan-y-pwll invite serving
Headteachers or experienced practitioners holding a NPQH qualification to apply
for the role of Headteacher.
We are Wrexham’s newest Welsh medium school offering a newly
refurbished primary school building and a stimulating and attractive learning
environment. Having opened to Nursery and Reception pupils in September 2022,
the school is currently growing with 22 children on roll, expected to grow to
44 in September 2024.
We have highly motivated pupils, dedicated staff, supportive
parents and a committed and active governing body
The school is in located in the Borras/Rhosnesi area of the
borough but serves a wider catchment area in terms of demand for Welsh medium
education.
The Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated,
visionary Headteacher with excellent leadership skills with the commitment and
drive to maintain high standards and high levels of achievement.
The successful candidate should:
• demonstrate
strong and dynamic leadership with a clear vision for Welsh-medium education
within the borough
• model and
inspire excellent classroom practice and maintain a strong passion for teaching
and learning
• motivate
and inspire all pupils and staff
• possess
excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to nurture
positive relationships with all stakeholders
• develop
each child’s full potential in all aspects of school life
• show a
strong commitment to promoting wellbeing, pupil voice and Welsh medium
education
• maintain
and strengthen the links across our cluster, promoting best practice
• create an
environment which secures effective learning for all pupils and promotes high
standards of achievement.

The Governing Body will consider exercising its rights to
appoint the successful candidate at a point in the salary range appropriate to
