As a First Contact Advisor (FCA) you will be part of a multi-professional, supportive and motivated team dedicated to providing a service to people who contact Wrexham adult social services for information, advice or assistance.  As a first contact advisor you will listen to the individual to get an understanding of what is important to them, provide bespoke, targeted information and advice and identify when someone will need a more detailed assessment by wider members of the team. This is known as a “What Matters” conversation where you identify outcomes for the individual.

The role requires data inputting and therefore computer skills will be an advantage, systems training will be provided.

The Department has recently introduced a ‘Grow Your Own’ programme which gives employees the opportunity to work towards gaining a Social Care Assessor, Social Work or Occupational Therapist qualification.
