Pennaeth/Headteacher – Tim Newbould

DEPUTY HEADTEACHER / ADDITIONAL LEARNING NEEDS CO-ORDINATOR (ALNCo)

L9 – L 13

Required September 2024

The Governing Body of this happy school wishes to appoint a creative and inspirational deputy to join an experienced and enthusiastic staff in our popular school.  The successful candidate will also be the ALNCo for the school, and the Foundation Phase co-ordinator, so experience as an ALNCo and Foundation Phase lead is essential for this role.  Developing the wellbeing of children and staff is one of our priorities, so you will need experience and strength in this area.   Promoting the Welsh language is another of our priorities, so we are looking for someone who is confident in speaking Welsh, though not necessarily fluent.  Given the level of responsibility, this will be a non-teaching role.

The appointed candidate will

be an excellent class teacher, with high expectations

have a commitment to develop the potential of all our children

have excellent interpersonal, organisational, communication skills and a sense of humour

share good practice with colleagues and be a positive role model

have a clear vision for school improvement and raising standards

             have proven curriculum leadership skills

have energy and enthusiasm for all areas of school life

have the ability to lead, inspire and motivate others and work effectively as a team.

Please read the Person Specification carefully.  Only those applicants who meet all the essential criteria will be shortlisted.

Visits to the school are welcomed.  Please ring for an appointment.

PLEASE RETURN COMPLETED APPLICATION FORMS TO THE CHAIR OF GOVERNORS AT THE ABOVE ADDRESS (paper or email)
