Description
Support Worker
Permanent 37 hour per week
G05 £24,294- £25,119 Per Annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Day Service team based at the Cunliffe centre. The Day service has recently undergone a full service review so this is a great time to join the team and be part of the transformational change.
The is a 37 hrs per week post, with the current working hours off Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday and Thursday 8.30 – 4.30 and Friday 8.30 – 4pm, however this is likely to change within the future transformation of the service and therefore requires someone to be flexible in their approach.
You will work with adults of all ages who have a wide range of disabilities using a strength-based, person centred approach to understand and support people to achieve their personal outcomes that are meaningful to them both in the day centre and within the local community.
The successful candidate will need to be well organised, have exceptional communication skills and be a positive role model.
You will need to have excellent report and recording skills which are essential to ensure the delivery of person-centred care and outcome focused support plans to maximise independence and to give people choice and control over their lives.
You will work well as part of team and build upon effective relationships with the citizens who access the day service, colleagues, carers, other professionals and the wider community.
You will have a can-do attitude, lead by example, and demonstrate positivity and respect to the citizens who use the services.
Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
The Council welcomes applications from suitably qualified candidates regardless of race, gender, disability, sexuality, religious belief or age.
The Council is committed to developing its bilingual workforce and welcomes applications from candidates who demonstrate their capability to work in both English and Welsh. Applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.
