The Environment & Technical Department are seeking to recruit a Crematorium & Cemeteries Supervisor to work as part of the Crematorium & Cemeteries Team

Directly responsible for the day to day management and supervision of a team of staff, the successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of cremation, burial and associated services by allocating staff and resources where most needed. The post holder also will work as part of the team to deliver the services.

To be considered for the role you will already hold a qualification in horticulture and will either hold, or commit to attaining the Cremation Technicians Certificate (or equivalent).

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and organised individual who will be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge and practical experience in horticulture, and hard and soft landscaping works as well as have practical experience and knowledge of the legislation and regulations relating to cremation and burial services.  The ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a sensitive, compassionate and confident manner is a requirement of the role.

It will be essential to be able to demonstrate your ability to work as part of a team, providing support to colleagues and using initiative to solve any issues that may arise.
