Duty Officer - Occupational Therapy Team Social Care 

Pay Grade: G05 Hours: 37 per week

Our Occupational Therapy Team works with cases ranging from elderly reablement to young people with disabilities. We continue to invest in our service, with a staffing structure that supports career progression and continued professional development. 

A full time permanent opportunity has arisen within the Occupational Therapy team for a Duty Officer to provide information and advice to citizens and carers referred to the team either during their initial contact or to support with further enquiries. The successful candidate will work alongside Occupational Therapists to gather information in order to accurately prioritise referrals to the department. The Duty Officer responds to queries raised relating to citizens on the waiting lists for a service and works with the OT team to highlight any changes in circumstances which may require a more urgent response. You must have experience of using data bases to search for information, be confident speaking on the phone and be able to deal with potential conflict and disagreement appropriately.
