Grade 09 Salary £35,745 – £38,223 
Grade 10 Salary £39,186 – £42,403

This is an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join The Early Response Team. 

The Early Response Team work with Adults who are some of the most vulnerable and whose needs may be related to substance use, self-neglect, hoarding, modern slavery or other complex need affecting their wellbeing often with significant risk factors. The citizens supported by the Early Response Team often have little to no previous social care involvement or professional oversight, and their needs for care and support may be considered short to medium term. The Early Response Team work to support the citizen’s wellbeing by linking them in with other statutory and/or community based resources. This includes but is not limited to substance misuse and/or mental health services, housing services, Police, and community health colleagues. Multi agency working is pertinent to assessment, to assist in improving the overall wellbeing and the management of risk with these citizens. 

The ideal candidate will be a Qualified and Registered Social Worker with Social Care Wales. They will evidence good knowledge and application of legal duties to inform assessment and intervention, have excellent communication skills, able to work as part of a team and have previous experience of working with vulnerable adults.

The team are based at Crown Buildings. This role also offers the opportunity for hybrid working.  

An Enhanced DBS check and Social Care Wales registration is required for this position.
