Salary Grade GO6 £26,421 - £27,803 pro rata

25 hours per week

Wrexham Youth Justice Service (YJS) is a multi-agency organisation whose vision is to help create, “A Wrexham which is safe and crime free for all and where children and young people are valued citizens within the community”.

An opportunity has arisen for a Support Worker to join the team.

A Support Worker will demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to children, young people and families who are at risk of offending and re-offending. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate values that support child first and trauma informed approaches.

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting the needs and risks of children and young people who are engaging with the YJS on a Statutory, Out of Court Disposal and Preventative basis.  To participate in community-based projects and activities co-ordinated and implemented by the Youth Justice Service.  This can include reparation work within the community and working with volunteers

The candidate will have experience of working directly with Children/Young People on a 1:1 and group work basis, delivering interventions, and dealing with complex risks and needs.
