Caretaker: Grade 04 for 10 hours per week

£12.18 per hour

St. Peter’s CiW Primary School, Rossett, is looking to appoint a new caretaker.

TERM TIME PLUS TRAINING DAYS and ADDITIONAL DAYS DURING THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

  The Governing Body of St. Peter’s CiW Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and self-motivated person who would play a key role in maintaining our school site. As the main key holder, the person will also be responsible for daily unlocking and locking of the school. 
As School Caretaker, you will help support our pupils by ensuring our site is well maintained and ready for them to learn.
The successful applicant will be required to:
•    Possess the ability to undertake minor maintenance.
•    Check/maintain operational systems, carry out safety checks as required (e.g. fire alarm tests, emergency lighting tests), whilst ensuring that adequate records maintained.
•    Maintain Health & Safety Records
•    Be responsible for daily unlocking/locking of school as main keyholder.
•    Remove waste/recycling, clearing of leaves/weeds/litter/debris.
•    Ensure that recycling is correctly sorted and that the paper and plastic recycling bins are taken out and brought back in each week.
•    Schedule and liaise with external contractors
•    Attend outside of normal hours in case of alarm activation.

Daily working hours in term time will be:
•    7:00am – 7:30am
•    4.45pm – 6:15pm 
An Enhanced DBS is required for this position.
