Early Years Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Officer
Full-time temporary contract or secondment
Grade 09 £37,035 - £39,513 Per Annum

Are you able to build good working relationships with parents, practitioners and young children?
Do you have excellent literacy skills?
Are you flexible enough to able to work in a fast-paced environment across the borough of Wrexham?
This post will initially be a year secondment, to support the implementation of the ALN act in Wrexham.
The successful candidate will work to support Wrexham’s Inclusion team and will coordinate the delivery of additional learning provision for children and young people with complex needs, bringing together families, health professionals, teachers and school leaders.
The post requires an experienced and enthusiastic practitioner with an excellent knowledge and understanding of child development. They will work as a valuable member of Wrexham’s Inclusion Team and will be able to skill share and train others to provide high quality interventions for children and young people with additional learning needs.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a good understanding of current developments in education, will have a flexible approach and will be able to support practitioners and children in settings across Wrexham county. They will be able to draw on their own good practice when leading person-centred reviews, writing appropriate outcomes for children with significant delay and contributing towards Individual Development Plans.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, a strong sense of teamwork and a willingness to be involved in the delivery of training are essential. The successful candidate will have excellent organisation and coordination skills and will be able to produce statutory documentation including Individual Development Plans and professional reports. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential.
