Contracts and Monitoring Officer (Social Care)
1x permanent 37 hours
Temporary roles available, flexible hours
Grade 09 £37,035 - £39,513 per Annum
This is an opportunity to join a busy and friendly team within the Social Services department. The team covers a range of support services – domiciliary care, residential care, supported living, day care and other services from third sector providers. You will be a point of contact for Providers, Social Work teams, Service Users and their families regarding the services they are providing / receiving, and will need to have a confident and sensitive telephone manner. You will need to undertake visits to a range of social care settings and be able to produce reports and action plans. You will also liaise with Care Inspectorate Wales, Safeguarding teams and Complaints Teams.
The post holder will need to be skilled and flexible enough to lead on work required to support the team and providers to improve quality standards across all commissioned services.
Strong numerical and Excel skills are essential for this role as the team uses a range of spreadsheets and online databases. You will also need to have strong Word skills in order to be able to write reports for a range of stakeholders. You must also be able to understand and use legislation, regulations and policy to support the provider market.
The team are adopting a hybrid working model of working in an office and working at home. You will need to be comfortable using technology to be able to work from any location within Wrexham and to maintain contact with colleagues.
There is 1x permanent role available, and up to two temporary roles to end December 2025.
