Description
Assistant Team Manager for Prevention
G09 £37,035 - £39,513 per annum
Temporary until 31/03/2026
Wrexham Children’s Services is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, proactive and highly professional Assistant Team Manager in the Prevention and Service Development Team to support the development and delivery of Prevention and Early Help Services for children and families.
We are keen to hear from people who are self-motivated, passionate about making a difference to children and families and who have experience in children and family services. This is an exciting time to join Wrexham Council with the recently launched Prevention and Early Help Framework for Wrexham setting the strategic direction for the future, the development of the new innovative online Wellbeing Portal and the imminent opening of the Wellbeing Hub in Crown Buildings.
The post holder will need to be well organised, have a good knowledge of key legislation and guidance in Wales relating to children and families, experience of working with grants and the skills and knowledge to enable them to support staff and help them achieve high levels of performance. The successful candidate would be joining the Prevention and Service Development Team, a large, very busy, stable and very successful team covering a broad range of different areas of service, including commissioning, programme and project management, grant funding, business support as well as front line work with families and other providers. All staff work from home as well as in the office and staff wellbeing is a high priority for all.
Candidates should use the opportunities in the application form to explain clearly how they meet the requirements in the person specification for the role.
The Council welcomes applications from suitably qualified candidates regardless of race, gender, disability, sexuality, religious belief or age.
The Council is committed to developing its bilingual workforce and welcomes applications from candidates who demonstrate their capability to work in both English and Welsh. Applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.
