We are seeking a permanent caretaker to work at Noddfa, Dodds Lane, Gwersyllt
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and self-motivated person who would play a key role in maintaining the school site, to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community.
You will be responsible for keeping the school secure, be able to carry out minor maintenance repairs, carry out safety checks as required and ensure adequate records are maintained. As the main key holder, you will also be responsible for the daily unlocking and locking of the school.
You will organise the efficient removal of waste from the building and the grounds, including recycling, and ensure that the outdoors are kept clear of weeds, litter and debris.
You will be expected to attend school as necessary outside of normal working hours in cases of alarm activation or other emergency.
The caretaker role is 10 hours per week, 39 weeks a year paid at caretaker rate £12.85 per hour.
Standard hours of work during term time are 7:00am – 8:00am and 6.00pm – 7.00pm. Annual leave must be taken during school holidays. Hours of work during school holidays can be agreed with the Headteacher.
An Enhanced DBS is required for this position.
