Senior Support Worker
37 hours per week
Salary Grade GO7
£30,559 - £32,115
Wrexham Youth Justice Service (YJS) is a multi-agency organisation whose vision is to help create, “A Wrexham which is safe and crime free for all and where children and young people are valued citizens within the community”.
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Support Worker to join the team on a fixed-term basis, until March 2026.
A Senior Support Worker will demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to children, young people and families who are at risk of offending and re-offending. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate values that support child first and trauma informed approaches.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the needs and risks of children and young people who are engaging with the YJS on an Out of Court Disposal and Preventative basis. There is also an expectation to undertake direct work with children and young people subject to Statutory Court Orders.
The candidate will have experience of completing assessments, delivering interventions, and managing complex risks and needs.
