Young Person’s Substance Misuse Worker
Youth Justice Service – Whitegate Industrial Estate

30 hours per week   
The Education and Early intervention Department seeks to recruit a highly motivated Youth Worker to support young people to realise their goals and to build upon their aspirations.
This post supports young people working with the Youth Justice Service and In2Change drug and alcohol team.  The young people will be working with services on a preventative or statutory basis.  
The Young Person’s Substance Misuse Worker will work directly with young people aged 11-25 who currently use, or have previously used drugs & alcohol.  The role focusses on working collaboratively with young people to complete assessments, tailored plans, and a programme of interventions.  The Young Person’s Substance Misuse Worker will facilitate direct interventions focussing on substance misuse, diversionary activities, and general well-being activities
