Workforce Development Consultant (Social Work)
Grade G10 £40,476 - £43,693 pro-rata
Temporary until 31st March 2026
Location - Based at Guildhall with flexible working
22.5 hours per week
This is a great opportunity for someone to join our HR & OD Service as our Workforce Development Consultant (Social Work). The successful applicant will join our Workforce Development team and will be responsible for facilitating, managing and quality assuring between 45 – 50 practice learning opportunities per year. As well as maintaining strong relationships with Higher Education institutions we operate an internal Grow Our Own Programme which is part of a series of initiatives to support recruitment and retention of social workers.
You will be someone who has excellent communication skills and enjoys interacting with all levels of the organisation. You will be innovative and have a passion for supporting student social workers through their qualifications and practice learning experiences as well as supporting the current social worker workforce through post qualifying development which includes the First Three Years in Practice and Practice Educator Award.
It is essential the successful applicant is a qualified Social Worker, has achieved the Practice Educator Award, and is registered with Social Care Wales.
