The Governors of The School invite serving Headteacher or experienced practitioners holding a NPQH qualification to apply for the role of Headteacher.
Ysgol Acrefair is a caring and inclusive school where our pupils are at the heart of everything we do. We have highly motivated pupils, an established and dedicated staff, supportive parents and a committed and active governing body. 
Ysgol Acrefair is an English medium, single form entry primary school with pupils from Acrefair and the surrounding area.
The Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Headteacher with excellent leadership skills and the commitment and drive to maintain high standards, high levels of achievement and continue to build on the strengths of our school.
The successful candidate should:
•    demonstrate strong and dynamic leadership

•    model and inspire excellent classroom practice and maintain a strong passion for teaching and learning
•    motivate and inspire all pupils and staff

•    create an environment which secures effective learning for all pupils and promotes high standards of achievement.
The serving Headteacher will be hosting two opportunities to visit the school during the application period, at 2pm on Wednesday 30th April and Thursday 1st May, to which you would be very welcome. The Governing Body will consider exercising its rights to appoint the successful candidate at a point in the salary range appropriate to their skills and expertise, in accordance with the STPCD.
