The Governing Body invite serving Headteachers or experienced practitioners holding a NPQH qualification to apply for the role of Headteacher.

Ysgol Tanyfron is an inclusive and successful school where pupils thrive and become the best versions of themselves. We provide a safe and happy environment for our pupils and place their wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.  The school is an English medium and provides for pupils from Tanyfron and the surrounding area. Pupils are highly motivated and the school has a dedicated and caring team of staff who work closely with a committed and active governing body. Outdoor learning is a central part of our learning environment at Ysgol Tanyfron and we are very fortunate to have a wonderful forest school and large outdoor provisions in which our pupils can learn.

The Governing Body are seeking to appoint an inspiring Headteacher who is highly motivated, has excellent leadership skills and is committed to continuing to drive and maintain high standards and levels of achievement.

The successful candidate should:

demonstrate strong and dynamic leadership

possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to nurture positive relationships with all stakeholders

motivate and inspire all pupils and staff 

continue to build on the strengths of our school

develop each child’s full potential in all aspects of school life

model and inspire excellent classroom practice across the school and maintain a strong passion for teaching and learning

show a strong commitment to promoting wellbeing and pupil voice

create an environment which secures effective learning for all pupils and promotes high standards of achievement.
