Secondment opportunity for Summer term- Acting Deputy Headteacher at Ysgol Penrhyn New Broughton C.P. to start 28th April or as soon as possible thereafter.

Leadership range : 6-10

Due to a planned leave of absence for the Summer Term, Ysgol Penrhyn New Broughton C.P. are looking to second an Acting Deputy Headteacher for our happy, nurturing, primary school. We are looking for a school leader who can nurture, support and inspire our fantastic children and dedicated staff team. We are looking to appoint an innovative and highly motivated person with excellent leadership skills for the summer term. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to further their leadership skills and experience.

As Acting Deputy Headteacher, you will be supporting the Headteacher to lead a dedicated and passionate team, providing professional leadership to ensure that the school continues its improvement journey delivering high-quality education for all our pupils. 

The successful candidate should:

· Demonstrate strong and dynamic leadership.

· Build on the strengths of our school in collaboration with staff, pupils and parents.

· Model and inspire excellent classroom practice, especially in a Year 6 class and across the school, maintaining a strong passion for teaching and learning and support the staff in celebrating their successes.

· Motivate, inspire and engage all pupils and staff in the school community.

· Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to nurture positive relationships with all stakeholders.

· Show a strong commitment to promoting wellbeing and pupil voice.

· Maintain and strengthen the links across the community promoting best practice and positive relationships to further develop the school as a whole.

· Create an environment which secures positive behaviour, respect, tolerance and diversity for all pupils and promotes high standards of achievement.

· Be committed to a nurturing approach that supports all of our pupils and their families.

You will need to gain the permission of your Headteacher / Manager prior to an expression of interest in the post.
