Following a successful 12-month pilot scheme Wrexham Children Services are recruiting Social Care Assessors in permanent positions to work alongside social workers in delivering packages of support for Children and their Families.
The role will include undertaking ‘What Matters” conversations with Children and Young People, liaising with partner agency across the statutory and voluntary sector, assessing children’s needs, facilitating care and support meetings, and working directly with children and their families. Training and development opportunities will be provided to support the successful candidate in this exciting new role. Successful candidates will be supported by an experienced team of practitioners and managers, and will received supervision and guidance. The vacancies are within Children’s Single Point of Access (SPOA), Family Support Team (FST) and Looked after Children Team (LAC).
The Social Services and Well Being (WALES) Act 2014 and The Children Act 1989, provide the legislative frameworks to ensure compliance with statutory duties and that Children and Young People are supported to achieve positive outcomes.
Wrexham Children Services are seeking to recruit highly motived candidates who are committed to working with children and their families to improve their life opportunities.
The successful candidate will have Level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care and be commitment to work towards a level 4 qualification or equivalent within agree timescales. The successful candidate will be based at the recently refurbished Crown Buildings within Wrexham City Centre. This role also offers the opportunity for hybrid working.
An Enhanced DBS check and Social Care Wales registration is required for this position.
