G07 - £30,559 - £32,115 per annum
A position has arisen for an Admissions Officer within the Flying Start Team. The appointee will supervise and administer the Flying Start childcare admissions process, to ensure all eligible children receive their Flying Start childcare entitlement through effective co-ordination of the admissions decision-making processes, leading on termly admission rounds, allocation of places and transfer requests. The appointee will act as first point of contact in resolving admissions issues/complex admissions and be responsible for calculating, processing and monitoring the payments to childcare providers. The post includes direct supervision of the childcare business support team to ensure high standards of performance are maintained and will be based at the Flying Start Gwenfro offices with occasional cover at the other Flying Start bases in Wrexham.
The successful candidate should have experience of using IT packages and payment systems within the workplace and making improvements to practice. In addition, an ability to respond creatively, in a rapidly evolving service, to new challenging situations with regard to service providers, service users and relationships, systems, procedures and documentation. The candidate should also possess excellent verbal, written, numerical, communication, along with an ability to deal with contentious issues.
