G09: £37,035 - £39,513 per annum
We have an exciting opportunity for an Arboricultural Manager within the housing department to support and sustains wildlife, biodiversity, and enhances the local living environment. Responsible for the administration, financial and operational control of the Grounds Contract including cyclical inspection of trees. To pro-actively involve and engage with contract holders in shaping service provision and delivery of estate-based services at Wrexham County Borough Council. We are passionate about the Environment and have made a commitment to be carbon neutral by 2030. Whilst this will be a challenging target, we have a drive to implement improvements across the borough and this role will play a key part in achieving our target.
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated professional to join our Assets team within Housing. You will lead on all tree works and their management across the Borough’s Housing Land and our commercial estate, responding to tree-related queries and ensuring the health and sustainability of our trees. On cyclical basis inspect assets which sit with the housing portfolio included fencing on communal land and paths including barbed wire and appropriate signage
The role is primarily based at Housing Services, although you will be expected to travel across the Borough.
