Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant Level 2 - Temporary contract

Grade 4 teaching assistant - £17,891-£18,175

32 hours 
Commencing September 2025 until 31st March 2026
TERM TIME ONLY WITH NO TERM TIME LEAVE 

The Governors of Ysgol Maes Y Mynydd seek to appoint a motivated and dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant who is keen to play an active role within the school. The successful candidate will work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff, usually in the classroom with the teacher, to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. There will also be a lunchtime commitment with the vacancy. 

The successful candidate will need:-
•    To have knowledge and experience of primary education
•    To have knowledge of how children learn best
•    Excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills
•    Have experience of working with pupils with ALN
•    Have experience of leading intervention groups. 
•    To have an understanding of the learning outcomes for assessment
•    To demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team
