Assistant Team Manager - Safeguarding and DOLS Team
37 hours per week - Permanent
G11 £44,711 - £47,754 per annum
Applications are sought from Qualified Social Workers for the post of Assistant team manager within the Adult Safeguarding & Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS) team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within an established Adult Safeguarding and DOLS team. The successful candidate will have a wide range of practice experience and Knowledge. They will need to demonstrate a good understanding of how Safeguarding and DOLS legislation and case law is applied into practice.
The Adult Safeguarding and DOLS team sit within Adult Social care. The team is responsible for ensuring that safeguarding enquiries are carried out within statutory timescales, coordinating safeguarding investigations and implementing safeguarding plans to ensure the safety of adults at risk.
The assistant team manager for Safeguarding is responsible for screening all Adult at risk referrals for Wrexham County Borough Council and determining the appropriate pathway. The assistant team manager will be responsible for chairing strategy meetings when required to determine how adults at risk will be safeguarded and coordinating multi-agency investigations for complex cases.
The Safeguarding and DoLs team is made up of 14 staff including a Team Manager, Assistant Team Managers, Social Workers and Safeguarding support officers and a Practice Development manager
