Business Support Assistant
Active Wrexham

Education & Early Intervention Services

GO4: £24,790 – £25,183

Hours 29.6 hours per week (£19,832 Pro-Rata)

Temporary post until 31st March 2026 in the first instance.

We are seeking to recruit an appropriately qualified Business Support Assistant to work as our Administrator on the National Exercise Referral Scheme (NERS) programme in Wrexham.

This scheme incorporates exercise opportunities for clients referred with health conditions as part of a local chronic disease pathway.

One of the key roles of the Vacancy involves booking referrals in over the phone and therefore we are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has strong customer service and organisational skills.

The Inspire project provides support to young people aged 11-18 who struggle with self-harming behaviours, while the in2change project assists young individuals aged 11-25 dealing with drug or alcohol use.

This role involves a variety of administrative tasks, including sending letters to young people, parents, carers and referrers after receiving referrals for one-on-one support.

Additionally, the role includes inputting data into systems such as spreadsheets and Synergy, processing orders through P2P and performing other routine administrative duties.

The role will be split between the NERS scheme (3 days) and Inspire and In2change service (1 day).

For further information please contact Sian Brierley on 01978 297361 (NERS Scheme) or Sarah Tompkin on 07803 022 159 (Inspire and In2Change)

Wrexham Council welcomes applications from suitably qualified candidates regardless of race, gender, disability, sexuality, religious belief or age.

The Council is committed to developing its bilingual workforce and welcomes applications from candidates who demonstrate their capability to work in both English and Welsh. Applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English
