PART TIME TEMPORARY TEACHER

The Governing Body at Barker’s Lane wish to appoint an outstanding primary classroom practitioner from 22nd September 2025 on a fixed term contract until 31st December 2025. The post is for 2.5 days per week.

Barker’s Lane is a caring, school community which achieves high standards for pupils’ learning and a secure sense of well-being.

The successful candidate will work alongside a dedicated team of staff and: 
•    Promote high aspirations and the determination to achieve for all children.
•    Be innovative, flexible, highly motivated and inspirational. 
•    Have excellent communication skills, be pro-active and work well as part of a team.
•    Have an up to date knowledge of current pedagogy and curriculum developments in Wales.
•    Be committed to the development of literacy, numeracy, Welsh and digital competence across a rich and authentic, learner led balanced curriculum.
•    Develop a learning environment which fosters creativity, problem solving and independence.
•    Aspire to creating a supportive culture which promotes equality and positive well-being.
•    Share skills and expertise in the development of extra-curricular activities.

Skills / keen interest in the development of music is desirable but not essential.
