Full time, Temporary
G05 - £25,584 - £26,409
Wrexham County Borough Council is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-driven Works Planner to play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of housing repair and maintenance services.
You’ll work both independently and as part of a team to allocate work orders and coordinate the daily activity of both external contractors and our In-House Team.
From programming multi-trade works to sequencing jobs across various locations, you’ll help ensure that every repair project runs like clockwork—right from the releasing of the surveys to the final coat of paint.
This is a pivotal role where your planning powers truly shine.
You’ll liaise with supervisors, team leaders, and operatives to understand requirements, issue clear instructions, and monitor progress.
It’s not just about scheduling—it’s about ensuring each step of the job is delivered safely, effectively, and in line with customer expectations.
You’ll be the go-to person for keeping everything recorded, up to date, and aligned with our systems.
Emergencies can’t be predicted, so you’ll also need to think on your feet, work flexibly across teams, and respond quickly when urgent jobs arise.
If you’re passionate about making a difference in people’s homes and communities, this role puts you at the heart of it.
You’ll keep tenants informed every step of the way, work closely with estate offices and service centres, and continuously look for smarter ways to plan and improve.
With a strong focus on communication, safety, and performance, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that keeps Wrexham moving forward.
