Support Worker-Temporary
Temporary 6 month contract
G05 £26,403-£27,254
Up to 37 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Community Living Service for people wanting to make a real difference to the lives of people in our community. We help individuals who have enhanced complex needs including learning disabilities to maintain their tenancies and live independently within their own homes. We help people to feel a part of their community; to maximise their wellbeing and achieve their personal goals.
We are looking for dynamic, self-motivated candidates who have empathy and respect. The ideal candidate will appreciate the differences in others and strive to deliver a person-centred service. They will work well as part of a team and on their own initiative; and be able to follow plans and break down barriers to ensure outcomes are achieved. They will be flexible in their approach and committed to making a positive difference.
You will be based on site in one of the supported living houses and qualified preferably to NVQ level 2 as a minimum or the ability and commitment to achieve this qualification within a set time frame.
The successful applicants will:
