G12 £50,269 - £53,460 per annum
Children’s Social Care is seeking a Team Manager who is a highly motivated individual that is passionate about supporting children and families and ensuring children in Wrexham are safe as well as supporting the team to develop and grow. Family Support Team (FST) is a social work team supporting children and families who are open to Children’s Social Care under Care and Support Plans and Child Protection plans. The team is responsible for:
• Care and Support plans
• Providing robust support to families and children ensuring best outcomes are met
• Management of Child Protection Plans
• Public Law Outline
• Taking cases to the first court hearing
As the Team Manager you will be responsible for working in partnership with external and internal agencies to ensure collaborative working. You will be responsible for a staff team of 15 Social Workers, 3 Social Care Assessors and 3 Assistant Team Managers.

This role supports hybrid working, a broadly even balance between working from home and working from an office base.
This Team Manager post in the Family Support Team/ Looked after children team and Assessment intervention team attracts a recruitment incentive payment of £2,996 as a welcome to the Council.
In certain conditions an additional retention incentive payment of £2,996 may also applicable on the anniversary of your appointment if you remain in service in an eligible role/ team.
This payment will be pro rata for part time employees and is subject to normal employee deductions e.g. pension, NI and Tax and other terms and conditions apply. Please see the Recruitment & Retention Payment Guidance note for more details
