Description

MIS Training & Support Officer
Full-Time
 Grade 07 - £31,537 - £33,143
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a MIS Training and Support Officer to assist schools using our new MIS system, Bromcom.
We are looking for a creative forward thinking individual to become a wider part of the MIS Schools/IT Team with responsibility for providing training, support and guidance to schools.
This role involves assisting schools to manage and maintaining the school's data systems, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting staff in their use of the MIS.
We oversee Welsh Government censuses and provide guidance. Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR) and LA policies. Having knowledge of such policies, would be an advantage.
The role will expect a certain level of working on your own initiative, but you will have the tools to identify and resolve MIS-related issues, with wider teams, such as IT/Bromcom 3rd Line Support
We have an expectation that you will keep up-to-date with the latest developments and this includes testing prior to release.
The successful candidate will provide training courses to all schools as part of the role. We would expect some knowledge of Bromcom although full training and accreditation will be provided.
Whilst your base will be Redwither Tower you will have the option to work flexibly, with some time at home, on site and in the workplace.
An enhanced DBS & Social Council for Wales registration is required for this position.
