The Governors of St. Giles’ VC Church in Wales Primary School invite serving Headteachers or experienced practitioners holding a NPQH qualification to apply for the role of Headteacher.
St Giles is a large, thriving Church school in the heart of Wrexham city centre.We provide a safe, supportive and happy place for children to learn and meet their full potential. We pride ourselves on the broad, balanced and relevant education we provide, where pupils can develop a positive self-image and acquire the skills they will need to go through life. St Giles offers Early Education and full wrap around provision, including breakfast and after school care.
The Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, visionary Headteacher with excellent leadership skills and commitment to achieving high standards in this unique, vibrant and welcoming school.
The successful candidate should:
Demonstrate strong and dynamic leadership
Uphold and enhance the Christian ethos of the school and its sense of community
Have a proven track record of effective leadership and school improvement; building on the strengths and setting the strategic direction to further develop the school
Have a good knowledge of school budgets and maintain a strong fiscal practice
Value every child and strive to ensure that both pupils and staff have high aspirations for achievement
Promote strong, trusting and respectful relationships, where staff feel valued and inspired to grow professionally
Be committed to a nurturing approach that supports all of our pupils and their families, in particular those that have additional learning needs or with English as an additional language
Show a strong commitment to promoting wellbeing and pupil voice
Create an environment which secures positive behaviour, respect, tolerance and diversity for all pupils.
