Secondment Opportunity: Assistive Technology Advisory Teacher (Main Grade)

Contract Type: Fixed-term secondment (pilot project)  until July 2026

We are offering an exciting secondment opportunity for a committed and innovative teacher to join our team as an Assistive Technology (AT) Advisory Teacher, supporting learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) in the first instance in secondary resource provisions.
About the Role

This pilot role will focus on enhancing the use of Assistive Technology in classrooms to improve access to learning. The post holder will:
•    Assess learners’ needs and recommend tailored AT solutions.
•    Support the integration of AT into everyday teaching.
•    Advise on mainstream IT and inclusive technologies.
•    Liaise with IT support and education teams to optimise AT use.
•    Provide training and guidance to school staff.
The impact of this pilot will be evaluated to inform future planning and provision.

•    Experience supporting learners with ALN.
•    Strong understanding of inclusive teaching and digital tools.
•    Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
•    A proactive, solution-focused approach.
