Moving & Handling Advisor -Occupational Therapy Team

Permanent 37 hours per week.

G07 - £31,537 to £33,143

This post provides an excellent opportunity to work alongside Occupational Therapists in the community in addressing the moving and handling needs of citizens. This is an exciting opportunity to support with the Moving with Dignity Policy adopting a strength based approach towards Moving and Handling. 

You will be working with all of the care providers, contracts team, health colleagues and informal carers, including family members. You will receive support and supervision from Occupational Therapists who will carry out all initial moving and handling assessments. You will be expected to carry out follow up visits and provide demonstrations and support with moving and handling techniques if sorequired.

Additional training will be provided to equip you for the role such as People Handling and Risk Assessments. Additional training around single handed care will also be provided.
