Teaching Assistant Level 2 - Temporary contract x 4 positions

2 positions – Foundation Phase support

1 position – Key Stage 2 support

1 position – Foundation Phase Resourced Provision support

Grade 04 SCP 5: £25,583 - £25,989 pro rata

27.5 hours per week

TERM TIME ONLY WITH NO TERM TIME LEAVE

Commencing as soon as possible until 31st March 2026

The Governors of Ysgol Maes Y Mynydd seek to appoint a number of motivated and dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistants who are keen to play an active role within the school. The successful candidates will work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff, usually in the classroom with the teacher, to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. There will also be a lunchtime commitment with the vacancy.

The successful candidate will need:-

• To have knowledge and experience of primary education

• To have knowledge of how children learn best

• Excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills

• Have experience of working with pupils with ALN

• Have experience of leading intervention groups.

• To have an understanding of the learning outcomes for assessment

• To demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team
